Placements24 is assisting a renowned wellness retreat and spa in Rustenburg, North West, to hire a Lead Massage Therapist & Wellness Coordinator. This senior role combines clinical expertise with staff leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences and develop innovative wellness offerings.

Ideal candidates will have a professional massage qualification, 6+ years of practice including 2+ in a supervisory capacity, and a strong ability to design programs, mentor staff, and maintain

Qualifications

• Qualification in Massage Therapy or Somatology from an accredited institution.
• 6+ years of practical Massage Therapy experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Proficiency in multiple massage modalities and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Experience in a spa or wellness center environment.
• Ability to develop wellness programs and coordinate staff schedules.
• Excellent client consultation and rapport-building skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic massage treatments including deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and hot stone.
• Lead and mentor a team of massage therapists with training and feedback.
• Develop and implement new wellness programs and packages.
• Conduct client assessments to tailor treatments.
• Maintain detailed client records ensuring privacy and compliance.
• Uphold high hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Stay current with advancements in massage therapy and wellness.
• Manage scheduling of therapists and coordinate with spa departments.
• Assist in inventory management of oils, lotions, and supplies.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture focused on well-being.
