Job summary

A leading South African bank is seeking an experienced marketing professional to strategically partner with product heads, oversee the marketing value chain, and manage marketing programs. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of product marketing experience, preferably within the FMCG or retail banking sectors, and possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years product marketing experience in a large, complex and client focused organisation.
  • Experience in an FMCG, retail banking or services industry is ideal.
  • A relevant postgraduate degree in Marketing or Business Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Heads to assess business needs.
  • Direct the creation of marketing programs aligned with business strategy.
  • Oversee the marketing value chain from planning to reporting.

  • To oversee the marketing value chain, from consulting with business to planning, development, execution, and reporting.
  • Ensure thorough reporting and measurement of marketing initiatives to track success and drive continuous improvement
Experience

Minimum:

  • 5+ years product marketing experience in a large, complex and client focussed organisation

Ideal:

  • Experience gained preferably in an FMCG, retail banking or services industry.
  • Cross functional project coordination / management
  • Lead and manage marketing programs that align with and support business and marketing objectives.
  • Multi-Channel Marketing, utilising a range of marketing capabilities, including direct marketing, digital performance marketing, social media marketing, above-the-line advertising, digital and traditional media, and content marketing.
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Management
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
  • A relevant post graduate degree in Marketing or Business Management
