Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Expert in statistical analysis, data modeling, forecasting, and simulation.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, R, Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong Lean, Six Sigma and process optimization knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience in logistics or supply chain preferred.
• Familiarity with Cape Town business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of operational data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the supply chain and logistics operations.
• Develop and implement advanced analytical models and methodologies to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and improve resource allocation.
• Design and oversee the implementation of process improvements and operational changes, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum effectiveness.
• Manage a team of industrial operations analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) dashboards and reports for senior management, highlighting operational trends and insights.
• Collaborate with various departments, including warehousing, transportation, procurement, and customer service, to ensure integrated operational strategies.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational failures and develop robust corrective action plans.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions in industrial engineering and supply chain management.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering, operations analysis, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, data modeling, forecasting techniques, and simulation.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and strategies.
• Experience within the logistics or supply chain industry is highly desirable.
