Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics and distribution company based in Benoni, Gauteng , is actively recruiting for a Lead Industrial Engineer specializing in Supply Chain Optimization. This senior position is critical to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our entire supply chain network, from warehousing to final delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing innovative solutions that streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of industrial engineers and work closely with various departments, including operations, procurement, and IT, to achieve strategic objectives. This role demands a strategic thinker with a robust understanding of supply chain dynamics and a passion for operational excellence within the Benoni area.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and map complex supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement optimized layouts and workflows for warehouses and distribution centers.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in supply chain modeling, simulation, and optimization software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic, Llamasoft).
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong understanding of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies applied to supply chain contexts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and drive change.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Residency or strong connection to the Benoni, Gauteng region is preferred.
