Qualifications

• Professional Architect qualification (PrArch) with SACAP registration.
• At least 10 years of experience, with 5+ years in heritage architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of conservation philosophy and historic building materials.
• Proven experience managing complex heritage projects and regulatory approvals.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement conservation management plans for heritage sites in Cape Town.
• Lead architectural teams in heritage restoration and adaptive reuse projects.
• Conduct detailed assessments of structures, identifying materials and deterioration patterns.
• Liaise with heritage authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, and reports for conservation work.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and quality control for heritage projects.
