Placements24 is seeking a Lead Frontend Developer to drive the technical direction of a cutting-edge e-commerce platform in Cape Town. You will mentor developers, implement scalable frontend solutions, and ensure high-quality, accessible UI across modern frameworks.

You will collaborate with design and backend teams in a hybrid role, delivering performant web applications and guiding best practices for the frontend stack. A strong emphasis on leadership and innovation drives this position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Experience leading a development team or mentoring junior developers.
• Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Deep knowledge of at least one modern JS framework (React, Vue, Angular).
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex).
• Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Parcel, Vite).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and async requests.
• Git version control experience.
• Frontend testing with Jest or Cypress.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
