Placements24 in Cape Town seeks a Lead Frontend Developer to steer architecture, UI delivery and performance across flagship products. You will mentor a talented team, set coding standards, and collaborate with UX, product and backend teams to translate requirements into exceptional interfaces.

The role requires hands-on leadership in modern JavaScript ecosystems (React/Angular/Vue, Redux, Webpack). You’ll champion accessibility, code quality, and timely delivery in a dynamic Cape Town tech

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years frontend experience with at least 2 in a lead role.
Expert in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
Strong experience with React/Angular/Vue.js and state management.
Familiar with build tools (Webpack, Babel) and cross-browser performance.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of frontend architectures using modern JS frameworks.
Mentor frontend developers and promote code quality.
Collaborate with UI/UX, product and backend teams to translate requirements.
Establish coding standards, performance optimizations, and accessibility best practices.
Conduct code reviews and ensure timely delivery of features.
Champion adoption of new frontend technologies.
