About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Financial Analyst to spearhead their financial planning and analysis efforts in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.


• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.


• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.


• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor departmental spending.


• Provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

• Manage and mentor junior analysts within the finance team.


• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.


• A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (CFA, CMA) is a plus.


• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.


• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and valuation methodologies.


• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.


• Proven leadership and team management skills.


• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.


• Must reside in or be willing to commute to Cape Town.
