Placements24 is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to lead its Centurion-based mixed-crop and livestock operations in Gauteng. You will oversee planning, execution, and supervision of all farming activities to drive efficiency and profitability while maintaining high standards of animal welfare and crop health.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Agriculture (or related field) and a minimum of five years of hands-on farm management experience, with strong leadership and budgeting skills.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Crop Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, with demonstrated crop and livestock production.
• Solid understanding of agronomy, soil science, animal nutrition, and veterinary principles.

Aufgaben

• Manage daily farm operations for both crop production and livestock management.
• Develop and implement annual farm plans, including planting schedules, fertilization programs, and herd management strategies.
• Supervise and direct farm staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Oversee crop health, pest and disease control, and harvesting operations.
• Manage livestock health, feeding programs, breeding, and welfare.
• Ensure the efficient maintenance and operation of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Monitor farm budgets, manage expenses, and optimize resource utilization.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on the farm.
• Maintain accurate farm records, including production data, inventory, and financial transactions.
• Liaise with suppliers, buyers, and service providers.
