Job summary

Triz Engineering Solutions in Centurion seeks a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design function for commercial vehicle programmes. You will guide wiring design, controller integration, and ensure compliant, high-quality outputs while managing resources and customer relationships.

The role requires a BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of automotive design experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

BEng, BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
15+ years of post-graduate engineering design experience, preferably wiring design and controller integration in automotive electrical design.
Willing to travel overseas for variable periods as needed.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled engineering and digital tools to strengthen governance, design review effectiveness, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a cohesive electrical design team.
Establish strong relationships with customers to prioritise design resources.
Delegate tasks and manage project timelines to milestones.
Provide technical leadership and ensure designs meet specifications and standards.
Organise and lead internal and customer design reviews to validate integrity.
Perform CAD design tasks including 3D modelling and 2D drawings; maintain PDM data.
Oversee production support and mentorship within the team.
Monitor KPIs like team performance and customer satisfaction.
