Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to spearhead our security initiatives in a fully remote role. You will design, develop, and deploy security solutions, lead a small team, and protect our digital assets across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, strong leadership, and hands‑on expertise in cloud security, SIEM, and threat management.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for the organization.
• Oversee threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering and operations.
• Proven experience in a leadership or lead engineer role.
• Deep understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), application security, and cryptography.
• Hands‑on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and collaborate in a fully remote team environment.
