Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer for a fully remote role. You will architect and implement scalable security solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments, shaping the security posture of an international client base.

You will lead threat modeling, risk assessments, incident response, and DevSecOps practices, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across product teams to embed security into every phase of development while staying ahead of emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable and robust cybersecurity solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead the development and maintenance of security frameworks, policies, and best practices.
• Oversee threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management programs.
• Manage and mature security incident response capabilities, ensuring rapid and effective containment and remediation.
• Drive the adoption of security best practices in software development lifecycles (DevSecOps).
• Evaluate, select, and implement new security technologies and tools.
• Mentor and guide junior security engineers and analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into business processes and product development.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, and provide strategic guidance.
• Develop and present security reports to senior management and stakeholders.
