Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Crop Scientist to lead R&D efforts in Centurion, Gauteng. You will drive crop genetics, pest management, and yield optimization across diverse agricultural products, leveraging state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative team.

The role requires a Ph.D. in Crop Science or related field, extensive research experience, and strong publication credentials. You will work to advance sustainable farming practices within the Gauteng province.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Crop Science or closely related field is required.
Extensive experience in agricultural research with focus on crop improvement.
Proven ability to manage research projects from conception to completion.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience in scientific publication.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced research in plant breeding, genetics, and crop physiology to improve yield and resilience.
Develop pest/disease management strategies using integrated approaches.
