Placements24 is seeking a Lead Clinical Psychologist and Behavioral Therapist for its Port Elizabeth center. The role involves advanced assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for individuals, couples and families, with a focus on leadership and clinical excellence.

You will supervise a team of psychologists and interns, shape clinical strategy, and contribute to program development while delivering evidence-based CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches in a supportive environment.

Qualificações

• Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an accredited institution; licensed in good standing.
• Minimum 8 years post-doctoral clinical experience with leadership/supervision.
• Proficiency in CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

Our client, a leading mental health and wellness center in Port Elizabeth , is seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Lead Clinical Psychologist and Behavioral Therapist. This senior role involves providing advanced psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention to individuals, couples, and families. You will also play a key role in leading and mentoring a team of psychologists and therapists, contributing to clinical strategy, and ensuring the highest quality of care. We are looking for a leader with a strong theoretical foundation, extensive clinical experience, and a passion for improving mental well-being within the Port Elizabeth community. The ideal candidate will be adept at various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches. Requirements

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral clinical experience, with significant experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Extensive expertise in conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in CBT, DBT, and other relevant therapeutic approaches.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and report-writing abilities.
• Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
• Experience with telehealth platforms is advantageous.
