Key Responsibilities
- Design and Analysis: Perform structural engineering design and analysis for various projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Site Supervision: Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant local and national regulations.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications
- Education: BSc / BEng degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Registration: Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering consulting, with a focus on design, project management, and contract administration.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in engineering software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Experience with civil design software is advantageous.
