Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Lead Childcare Educator to manage and deliver a vibrant preschool program for children aged 3-5. You will lead a classroom, guide development across cognitive, social, emotional and physical domains, and ensure high standards of care and education.

Qualifications

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field (e.g., Diploma, Degree).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified childcare educator, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment methods for preschool-aged children.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively and inspire young learners.
• Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Proficiency in English; Afrikaans is a strong advantage.
• Must be able to provide verifiable references.
• A clear criminal record check is required.
