Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Blockchain Architect in George, Western Cape to establish and guide the organization’s blockchain infrastructure. You will define the architectural vision, select platforms, and lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced crypto environment.

The role requires 10+ years in software architecture with at least 5 years in blockchain, strong cryptography knowledge, and leadership capabilities to translate complex concepts into strategic technical plans.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in software architecture, with at least 5 years specifically focused on blockchain technology.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex blockchain architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of various consensus algorithms (e.g., PoW, PoS, dPoS) and their trade-offs.
• Strong understanding of cryptography, network security, and data privacy principles.
• Experience with smart contract development languages and platforms.
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the Crypto & Blockchain industry is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in George, Western Cape.
