Placements24 is seeking a Lead Avionics Technician for a Gauteng aviation services facility in Tembisa. You will lead a team, oversee maintenance and repair of avionics systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements while guiding diagnostic work.

The role requires a Diploma or NC in Avionics/Electrical Engineering, 7+ years of hands-on experience, and strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NC in Avionics Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on avionics experience, with lead or supervisory exposure.
• Proven ability to diagnose, repair and troubleshoot a wide range of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of avionics technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics systems including communications, navigation, autopilot and flight management.
• Interpret manuals, diagrams and engineering drawings to guide maintenance activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
