THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

You are responsible for reporting the financial performance of a selected business unit. You need to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records are maintained in accordance with IFRS. You will oversee the activities and performance of the accountants in your team.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Produce accurate and complete total GL reports with all relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including reconciliations, management pack, business review pack, tax pack, and audit pack in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
2. Review monthly input from site cost accountants and SSC accountants for inclusion in the monthly reporting pack.
3. Compile annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and weekly profit estimates, considering necessary assumptions.
4. Implement and maintain proper financial systems and controls.
5. Ensure accurate and complete general ledger accounts.
6. Authorize journals and approve reconciliations performed by financial accountants.
7. Maintain an accurate, complete, and up-to-date fixed asset register.
8. Respond to queries and provide information, explanations, and assistance as required.
9. Lead and develop motivated, well-trained, and informed staff to deliver quality output and services.
10. Complete and submit annual insurance renewal documentation.
11. Review and approve electronic payments to suppliers.
12. Participate in stock takes and report as per standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• CIMA, CA, or B.Comm Hons. in Accounting.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Business analytical skills.
• Solid finance business background.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Ability to make sound, independent judgments.

Experience

5-7 years of total experience, including 2-3 years relevant financial accounting experience, preferably in FMCG.
