Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Back-End Developer to design and implement robust server-side PHP code using Laravel, focusing on secure authentication, API development, and scalable data models.

You will also contribute to front-end translation of designs, integrate front-end frameworks, and ensure performance, security, and clean deployments through Git and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of modern PHP syntax, OOP, and design patterns.
• Proven commercial experience building web apps with Laravel and ecosystem tools.
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and popular utility systems like Bootstrap/Tailwind.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL, modifying relational schemas, and optimizing indices.
• RESTful API standards, CRUD operations, and JSON payloads.
• Experience with Composer, npm/yarn, Git, and cloud deployment (AWS/DigitalOcean).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, secure, and maintainable server-side PHP code using Laravel.
• Build, optimize, and document robust RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Implement server-side logic including authentication, authorization, and data validation.
• Design and maintain scalable MySQL or PostgreSQL schemas.
