Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate Language Arts Tutor to provide individualized academic support to students in Port Elizabeth. The role focuses on reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension, developing personalized learning plans and delivering targeted instruction to learners of various ages.

You will work one-on-one or in small groups, communicate with parents about progress, and help students build confidence and strong study habits, contributing to their foundational language arts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a tutor, teacher, or educator, with a focus on Language Arts.
• Strong knowledge of grammar, literature, writing composition, and effective study strategies.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and the ability to motivate students of varying ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' strengths and weaknesses in reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension.
