Job summary

Freedom Printpak is seeking a skilled Laminating Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of laminating machines, ensuring they run efficiently, safely, and in line with customer specifications. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality laminated products that meet both internal standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation & Setup

• Set up and operate the laminating machine based on customer job specifications.
• Conduct first-off sample checks and ensure approval before full production run.
• Ensure machine settings comply with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Change raw materials effectively during job changeovers.

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine maintenance and report any issues promptly.
• Complete daily checklists and maintain tools and dies safely.
• Ensure machine complies with all health, safety, and ISO9001 standards.
• Actively enforce housekeeping and 5S standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.

Quality Control

• Monitor and adjust machine during production to maintain product quality.
• Work closely with feeders and packers to ensure acceptable quality and quantity.
• Ensure materials used match job requirements and minimize waste.
• Maintain detailed production records and submit accurate reports daily.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide regular feedback to the Supervisor/Foreman on machine performance and any issues.
• Ensure proper handovers between shifts and log incidents in real-time.
• Contribute to SOP development and improvement of quality management systems.
