Job description

Requirements:

1. Responsible for the Nutritionist, for the operation of the laboratory on a daily basis, and make limited decisions to ensure the continuity of productions.
2. Prepare test samples of materials in production and conduct prescribed physical and chemical tests on samples.
3. Preparation of test samples of raw materials and finished products, daily.
4. Perform prescribed physical and chemical tests on samples to ensure that they are within limits of specifications, daily.
5. Ensure that you work on the laboratory management information system as per the work instructions.
6. Ensure that you prepare and analyse all chemicals.
7. Work on, maintain and generate reports from the NIR machine.
8. Maintain the GMP and HACCP quality systems with regards to lab procedures.
9. Chemical Technicians Diploma, Food Technology, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment.
