Job summary

Multiform Human Development (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a Laboratory Manager / Quality Manager to oversee laboratory operations, technical oversight, staff management and the quality management system.

The role covers testing across seed, plant, feed, food, molecular, GMO, chemical and food-safety applications, with hands-on bench work and leadership responsibilities. Candidates should have MSc/PhD and at least 4 years in ISO17025 accredited labs, plus strong planning, documentation and data

Qualifications

• Experience leading ISO17025 accredited labs.
• Proven ability to interpret test data and reports.
• Experience with quality systems and audits.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily laboratory operations to meet turnaround times.
• Supervise and develop laboratory staff, ensuring competency.
• Perform and review laboratory testing and data interpretation.
• Oversee release of results with investigations of non-conformities.
• Maintain ISO17025 quality management system and audits.
• Coordinate internal audits and management reviews.
• Maintain document control, traceability and records.
• Manage equipment, facilities, stock and budget.
• Ensure health, safety, confidentiality and data integrity.
• Handle customer inquiries and report risks to management.
