YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE

We are looking for a Laboratory Analyst in STELLENRYK BUILDING, CONSTANTIA PARK, 16TH STREET, MIDRAND, JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG 1685 ZAF. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performing research and development activities in line with the laboratory’s strategy, including designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and developing new methods.
  • Conducting day-to-day laboratory analyses using sophisticated instruments such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results, troubleshooting analytical issues, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Developing and delivering training programs for laboratory staff on new methodologies.
  • Adhering to safety regulations, participating in quality assurance activities, and maintaining detailed records to ensure compliance with ISO, GLP, and other regulatory standards.
YOUR PROFILE

Qualifications:

  • A National Diploma, B.Degree, or similar qualification in Analytical Chemistry or higher.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in research and development.
  • Proven experience in developing and validating analytical methods.
  • Experience in training or mentoring laboratory staff is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, GC, ELISA.
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and LIMS.
