Location: Newham, London

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time (plus potential for some inset days)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you an organised and enthusiastic Science Lab Technician looking to play a vital role in a thriving secondary school?

A well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to support the delivery of outstanding science education across Key Stages 3 to 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science practical lessons

  • Maintain laboratories, equipment, and chemical stock levels in line with health and safety regulations

  • Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe science experiments

  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and safe storage of hazardous materials

  • Assist in the organisation of science resources and displays

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in a school or laboratory environment (desirable but not essential)

  • A science-related qualification (A-level or higher preferred)

  • Good understanding of health and safety practices in a lab setting

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
