Position: Lab Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our team. The Lab Assistant will be responsible for supporting our laboratory operations and assisting with various tasks related to water testing and analysis. This is a full-time position, with 40 hours per week, and offers the opportunity for growth and development within our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine water testing and analysis using various laboratory equipment and methods
  • Prepare and maintain samples for testing and analysis
  • Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly calibrated and stocked
  • Assist with quality control procedures and maintaining laboratory standards
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate testing processes
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with data entry and organization of laboratory records
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting preferred
  • Familiarity with water testing and analysis methods is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed
