About the Role
Our client is seeking an L2/L3 Technical Support Engineer to play a vital role in managing and maintaining clients' IT infrastructure. You’ll provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and administration for Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments. This is an onsite role based in Observatory, requiring regular interaction with clients. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are essential for occasional site visits. Experience in an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 and L3 support for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure Active Directory) and manage Windows Server environments (2016 and newer), including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, VMware, and Hyper-V.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to servers, networks, and end-user devices.
- Assist in planning, deploying, and migrating IT infrastructure projects.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions for optimal operation.
- Work closely with clients to understand their IT needs and provide proactive support and recommendations.
- Document technical processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Mentor and support junior technical staff.
Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an MSP environment (Essential).
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Proficient in Windows Server administration (2016 and newer).
- Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
- Own and reliable transport with a valid driver’s license for site visits (Essential).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications or extensive hands-on experience in Microsoft, Cisco, firewalls, and security best practices are a plus.
