Location: L'Oréal South Africa Woodmead Office – Johannesburg. Primarily office-based (or flexible/hybrid), with national travel as required for specialized events and/or training seminars.
Job Summary: The Skin & Make Up Education Manager is pivotal in strategically driving the advancement of our beauty advisors' expertise, specifically through comprehensive education in both makeup artistry and advanced skincare. The emphasis is on fostering a deep understanding and proficiency in these key areas, ensuring our beauty advisors are equipped not only with exceptional product knowledge but also with the artistic and scientific insights necessary to elevate client experiences and reinforce our brand's position as a leader in beauty.
Key Responsibilities
Strategically develop and update comprehensive national skincare and refined makeup artistry training and learning pathways, emphasizing integrated routines and scientific principles.
Lead and facilitate high-level masterclasses, specialized workshops, and large-scale training events on skincare and makeup for key stakeholders and BAs.
Be the primary skincare and makeup knowledge resource, providing expert guidance and support to the Regional Cross-Category Trainers on complex product interactions, techniques, and trends.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Commercial, and Field Teams to ensure training content is aligned with brand strategies and new product launches.
Continuously research and stay abreast of global skincare science, makeup artistry trends, ingredient efficacy, and competitor activities, integrating findings into training programs.
Develop compelling and visually rich educational content, that aligns with Brand DMI guidelines, including digital modules, video tutorials, and technical guides.
Evaluate the effectiveness of national skincare and makeup training programs and implement improvements based on feedback and performance data.
Potentially represent L'Oréal Luxe at industry events or media engagements related to Makeup and/or Skincare education.

Expert Skincare & Makeup Knowledge:
Deep and comprehensive understanding of skin anatomy, physiology, common concerns, active ingredients, and advanced makeup artistry techniques.
Integrated Curriculum Design: Proven ability to create sophisticated and engaging educational content that seamlessly blends skincare and makeup principles.
Instructional Design & E-learning: Proficiency in creating online learning modules, video content, and utilizing various digital training tools.
Public Speaking & Presentation: Exceptional ability to clearly articulate scientific and artistic concepts, conduct demonstrations, and inspire.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple content development projects concurrently.
Content Creation: Ability to create written, visual (e.g., photography/videography for demonstrations), and multimedia content for training.
Digital Literacy: Competence in using presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva), communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom), and reporting platforms.

Capacity to lead a specialized function with minimal oversight, taking full ownership of the fragrance education pillar.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in cosmetology, Aesthetics, Dermatology (related field), Marketing, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Specialized certifications in makeup artistry are highly advantageous
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of dedicated experience in skincare and/or makeup education, makeup artistry, or a similar expert role within the beauty or luxury industry.
Demonstrated success in developing and delivering national-level or large-scale training programs with an emphasis on integrated beauty routines.
Proven track record as a recognized subject matter expert in skincare and/or makeup.
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
