Overview

The accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial and accounting tasks for the business.

Your Tasks
  • Maintaining and reviewing the fixed assets registry quarterly
  • Reconciling and maintaining the GRIR (Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt) clearing account
  • Reconciling various general ledger accounts for review by the Finance Controller, ensuring all outstanding items are followed up and cleared
  • Performing bank account and cash reconciliations
  • Recording month-end and year-end journals
  • Assisting with year-end and finance audits
  • Reviewing and authorizing both foreign and local payments
  • Ensuring inter-company confirmations and accruals are balanced before running month-end
  • Reconciling the monthly salary report
  • Updating liquidity planning
  • Preparing month-end reports & BPC
Your Profile

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

  • Matric (non-negotiable)
  • B.Com / B.Tech in Financial Management / Accounting, Cost Management, Economics and Finance, or Financial Engineering (non-negotiable)
  • SAP experience (non-negotiable)
  • At least 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of business administration
  • Understanding of law directives, guidelines, and standards
  • Strong sense of confidentiality
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of intercompany billings and reconciliations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
