Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Sandton seeks a seasoned developer with 5–8 years of dev experience to design and implement the control plane of our application platform on Kubernetes.

You will build and maintain CRDs and controllers, use Golang to create services, ensure availability and performance, and implement scalable CI/CD/GitOps workflows. Kubernetes architecture expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years development experience with understanding of how apps are built and run.
• Strong experience in typed languages (Golang, Rust, C++, Java, C#, Typescript).
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and running apps on Kubernetes.
• Experience running or deploying Kubernetes clusters is not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good communication.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the control plane of our application platform using Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CRDs (Custom Resource Definitions) and controllers.
• Extend Kubernetes functionality for our platform.
• Utilise Golang to build Services, Controllers, and Crossplane Functions.
• Ensure availability and performance of the platform.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles.
