Job summary

A dynamic hospitality company is seeking a Housekeeping Support role in their tasting room. The successful candidate will ensure cleanliness and organization throughout various facilities while providing exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates should have a Grade 12 education, experience in cleaning and customer service, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

  • Experience in general cleaning and housekeeping.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Previous tasting room support experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Daily cleaning of bathroom facilities and keeping them tidy.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the main entrance and reception area.
  • Set up for tours and tastings including managing kitchen stock.

Job description

Purpose: The incumbent is responsible for housekeeping and ensuring that all areas are neat and tidy. He/she needs to ensure that stock & glasses are set up for tastings according to requirements and specifications to provide a professional experience to customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Basic wine & spirit knowledge course (advantageous)
  • Previous tasting room support experience, setting up tastings & serving wine (advantageous)
  • Experience in general cleaning & housekeeping
  • Experience in a customer service environment

Job Summary:

  • Daily cleaning of bathroom facilities and ensuring they are neat and tidy throughout the day.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the main entrance and reception area according to standards.
  • Keep the shop area, tables, and serving area clean and tidy.
  • Clean glass on front doors.
  • Ensure enough clean glasses are available at the tasting counter throughout the day.
  • Maintain outside area neat and tidy at all times.
  • Obtain all tour requirements and activities for the day.
  • Set up for all tours and tastings, including the Cathedral Cellar, Mentors room, and Auditorium.
  • Coordinate with tour guides to ensure setup meets specifications.
  • Order and manage kitchen stock (e.g., cleaning products, coffee, tea).
  • Control the tasting stock sheet and borrowed items sheet.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is in working condition and report issues to Maintenance.

Preference will be given to EE candidates.
