ROLE PURPOSE
Takes full accountability to ensure that all strategic, critical & other facilities as defined and contracted by the Customer meet business as well as contractual requirements. Develops the operating model (people, process, system) to deliver services effectively, profitably, and sustainably.
MAIN OUTPUTS
- Finance:
- Implement strategies, mechanisms, and guidelines for managing short, medium, and long-term capex budgets for contracts.
- Support and comply with the FM operational budget (short & medium term).
- Ensure compliance with Financial Governance and accurate, timely billing.
- Customer:
- Engage with senior customer groups to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
- Implement the customer business plan and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Map customer expectations and requirements with contractual SLAs and agreements, maintaining continuous communication.
- Operations:
- Implement operational strategies, mechanisms, and processes to support the customer's business environment.
- Apply communication and change management strategies to promote company culture, strategies, and procedures.
- Align KPIs, reporting, and contract compliance activities.
- Collaborate with service providers to support service delivery strategies.
- Implement contract requirements and principles with suppliers (in coordination with Supply Chain).
- Operationalize service strategies to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, timeliness, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Growth & Development:
- Implement strategies and culture aligned with customer needs.
- Regularly assess and develop resource skills and competencies to meet contractual and operational requirements.
- Adopt industry best practices and new technologies.
- Governance:
- Develop strategies and mechanisms to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Integrate customer policies into governance, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain adherence to the Integrated Management System (IMS).
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
The applicant must meet the following:
- Degree or B-Tech in Engineering, FM Qualification, or Management degree (EDP, MBA, or MBL advantageous).
- Matric (Senior Certificate).
- Valid SA Driver's License.
- 10+ years relevant experience, including 6+ years in FM & maintenance engineering and senior management roles; CRM & Property Management experience advantageous.
- Knowledge of Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, People Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Negotiation, Commercial, Contract & Vendor Management, Finance, Law & Auditing.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP.
- Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO 9001, Quality & Risk Management Systems.
