Job description
A well-established plastics/polymer raw material company supplying a comprehensive range of commodity and speciality plastic raw materials requires the above to manage an existing portfolio of key accounts as well as develop and grow the market as well as providing technical support and solutions to customers.
Minimum requirements for the role:
A degree or diploma in marketing, business, chemistry or polymer science or a related field is preferred but not essential for the role.
The company is also happy to train a technical person who would like to move into a sales role for this position.
Previous experience working within the plastic / polymers raw material industry is preferred but not essential.
Previous sales experience selling chemical raw materials into any manufacturing industry is preferred.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for building client relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing an existing portfolio of key accounts as well as develop and grow the market providing polymer raw materials into the plastic, automotive and agricultural manufacturing industries.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and potential customers.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the polymer industry.
Providing technical support and product knowledge to clients.
Collaborating closely with management to develop and implement sales strategies.
Achieving and exceeding sales targets and objectives.
Preparing and delivering presentations to clients.
Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
Monitoring and reporting on sales performance and market conditions.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
