Key Accounts Manager

A key accounts manager is required for a large gearbox manufacturing company in the Gauteng region.

The candidate MUST have a mechanical / technical qualification and a proven sales track record.

A B Eng in Mechanical Engineering or a BSC in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

1. More than 5 years' experience in sales in South Africa.
2. Strategic business development of sales opportunities within South Africa in the following industries: Cement, sugar, oil and gas, power, coal, ports & harbours, steel and metals, general industry, and mining and minerals.
3. Responsible for achieving budget as well as defined KPI targets.
4. Manage and grow existing business through regular customer visits and networking, in line with our strategic roadmap and growth plans for South Africa.
5. Ensure that the Sales / Bid Pipeline is of a value and quality that provides the Group with the confidence that the areas of responsibility will achieve its Order Intake targets.
6. Active pipeline management as per set rules.
7. Keeping CRM account details and information current and up to date, ensuring dormant accounts are closed and duplicate accounts are merged.
8. Gearing experience.

Package & Remuneration
