- A tertiary qualification, preferably a chemical degree or diploma is preferred but not essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked in a Sales role within the industrial chemical raw material manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Previous experience having worked within the detergent, paints and coatings, construction or related chemical industries selling industrial raw materials to manufacturers is preferred.
- Must be computer literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Managing and driving sales volumes at key account customers maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts as well as identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
- Overseeing and managing the distribution agencies for specific products and additives.
- Promoting new and existing chemical raw material products into the industrial manufacturing industry.
- Ensuring that key accounts are serviced and that their expectations of products are met.
- Identifying new potential customers ensuring that business is gained for the purpose of volume growth per product.
- Identifying and developing new products and agencies within various markets.
- Managing and negotiating the pricing of products with customers.
- Strategically assisting with the setting of monthly price lists on various products.
- Managing and implementing strategies to drive growth with key accounts.
- Managing chemical raw material stock portfolio for key accounts.
- Attending various conferences and trade shows nationally and internationally within the industrial chemical industries.
- Setting and driving budget targets and sales objectives.
