NATIONAL KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Pick n Pay & Boxer

Role Overview: Responsible for managing the quality, standards, service, and outputs within inter-related functional areas. This role involves working with various variables requiring an understanding of the underlying practices and theories.

Job Purpose: This position manages a portfolio of key accounts at a national level, promoting sales growth and customer satisfaction through strategy execution and stakeholder relationship management.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Manage National Key Accounts and establish relationships with stakeholders.
  2. Achieve sales targets within the account portfolio.
  3. Support alignment on requirements, processes, and agreements for seamless engagement.
  4. Drive effective relationships by addressing requests, inquiries, returns, and complaints promptly.
  5. Contribute to developing the National Key Account Management framework and commercial models.
  6. Assist in customer and product segmentation, channel strategy, and new product development.
  7. Implement business development initiatives and establish commercial best practices.
  8. Optimize sales order creation and management for key accounts.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate customer and sales information.

Business and People Management:

  1. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting.
  2. Drive operational improvements and ensure adherence to operational and financial standards.
  3. Manage costs and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (NQF level 7 or equivalent).
  • Up to 4 years of operational experience.
  • Strong trade relationships, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient IT skills.
