Job summary

A leading company in the ink and printing industry seeks a Key Account Manager based in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will proactively manage sales strategy, build strong customer relationships, and effectively achieve sales targets while collaborating with internal teams to drive business objectives. Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Sales & Marketing and have 5-7 years of relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 coupled with a Degree/Diploma is advantageous.
  • 5-7 years experience in Sales in the Ink and Printing Industry or relevant experience in Manufacturing.
  • Proficient in sales reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales strategy and provide analysis on sales data.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits.
  • Achieve sales and gross profit budgets as set objectives.

Job description

Pro-Actively manage the business and Sales Strategy as agreed with senior management, with ongoing recommendations on course corrections.

Produce, analyse and give feedback and recommendations on sales data about customers / items

using Excel spreadsheets, Qlikview and relevant reporting tools

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring regular & disciplined customer visits through use of reporting tools

Support company team in resolution of bad debt where necessary

Target Accounts

Implementing call cycles, systems & process to ensure identified Target Account objectives are achieved.

Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current on supply and demand, changes in trends, economic indicators and competitors

Identify and manage Low Margin customers & products with timeous action plans to improve respectively.

Investigate means of reducing costs in terms of formulations of products by collaborating and working closely with the Technical Team.

Effectively manage Pricing strategies with Customers to ensure business objectives are met.

Manage and implement sales programs by developing sales action plans within own region.

Achieve all Tangible Sales & GP Budgets with set Objectives

Constantly develop healthy pipeline of new opportunities and close within a reasonable timeline

Provide four monthly S&OP forecast plan on a monthly basis

Provide commercial forecast to support business objectives

Job Requirements :

Grade 12 coupled with a Degree / Diploma is Sales & Marketing or equivalent (advantageous)

5-7 Years experience in Sales, preferably within the Ink and Printing Industry OR 5 - 7 years relevant experience managing accounts with Customers within Manufacturing field

Computer Literate

Excel, PP, Word, Office, IBM Notes

Experience in utilising sales reporting tools e.g. SAP C4C, Qlikview or other

recommended but not essential
