An established industry player is seeking a dynamic sales professional to lead their business strategy and manage customer accounts effectively. This role involves analyzing sales data, maintaining strong customer relationships, and implementing pricing strategies to achieve business objectives. Proactively manage the business and sales strategy as agreed with senior management, with ongoing recommendations on course corrections.
Produce, analyze, and provide feedback and recommendations on sales data related to customers and items.
Utilize Excel spreadsheets, QlikView, and relevant reporting tools for data analysis.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring regular and disciplined customer visits, supported by reporting tools.
Support the company team in resolving bad debt issues when necessary.
Target Accounts
Implement call cycles, systems, and processes to ensure that objectives for Target Accounts are achieved.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by staying current on supply and demand, trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Identify and manage low-margin customers and products with timely action plans to improve profitability.
Collaborate closely with the Technical Team to explore means of reducing costs related to product formulations.
Manage and implement pricing strategies with customers to meet business objectives.
Develop and execute sales programs within your region through sales action plans.
Achieve all tangible sales and gross profit (GP) budgets with set objectives.
Maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities and close deals within a reasonable timeline.
Provide a four-monthly S&OP forecast plan.
Support business objectives with accurate commercial forecasts.
Job Requirements
Grade 12 education, complemented by a Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or an equivalent qualification (advantageous).
5-7 years of experience in sales, preferably within the ink and printing industry, or 5-7 years of relevant experience managing customer accounts within the manufacturing field.
Proficiency in computer applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Office suite, as well as IBM Notes.
Experience in utilizing sales reporting tools such as SAP C4C, QlikView, or others.
