Contexte et environnement

Tough and very competitive marketing environment. Attention in achieving an effective balance between marketing benefits and profitability for both Mining Customers and TMSA to ensure long-term sustainable and profitable business in these dynamic markets where customers have freedom of choice.

Activités

As a Key Account Specialist (Mining), you would possess the following:

  1. Appropriate tertiary qualification in sales / business management or administration
  2. 4-6 years marketing and sales management experience in the oil industry or a comparable industry
  3. Exposure to analyzing and interpreting financial statements / results either in studies or work experience
  4. Interacting with employees, customers, and government / parastatal organizations
  5. Good sales management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; good analytical and presentation skills
  6. Good knowledge and understanding of business and legal basics
  7. Good knowledge and application of people management and interpersonal skills
  8. Good knowledge and application of TMSA’s Code of Conduct / Ethics and Policies and Procedures
  9. Computer literacy is required (SAP and SALSA)

Profil du candidat

The Key Accounts Specialist is the point of contact for the customer and handles the distribution of the brand/products within assigned outlets. The sales representative is responsible for building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, ensuring visibility, achievement of sales targets, and delivery of high-quality customer service. They are also responsible for collection of receivables and providing market feedback. All employees must embody the values of Commitment, Integrity, Agility, Empathy, and Flexibility.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Achieve sales budgets for fuels and lubricants and contribute during budgeting
  2. Maintain and manage good customer relationships in the mining channel
  3. Manage pricing, rebates, discounts, and all related costs
  4. Ensure collection of under recoveries (transport, returns, maintenance costs, etc.)
  5. Control gross margin after variable expenses (GMVE) per customer
  6. Manage customer credit, resolve errors, perform reconciliation, and ensure excellent customer service
  7. Conduct variance analysis and business reviews, compare to budget, and take corrective actions
  8. Ensure proper stock management and accurate sales forecasting
  9. Monitor and control costs related to Fuel Management System suppliers and others
  10. Prepare monthly business reviews and KPIs, including asset management
  11. Manage contracts and administration to ensure compliance with contractual rights and obligations

Asset & Stock Management

  1. Manage operating expenditure and working capital through regular budget monitoring to improve profitability
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and TMSA requirements for handling, storing, and distributing products

Mining Strategy

  1. Identify and collaborate on leads for mining opportunities with the Business Development Manager
  2. Implement and execute marketing strategies and activities to meet objectives
  3. Collect and report market intelligence, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
  4. Propose opportunities for investments in the sales area
  5. Assist in controlling capital expenditure and commitments
  6. Participate in developing sales and marketing strategies

HSSE

  1. Manage and minimize HSE risks within the area of responsibility
  2. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, rules, and legal requirements
  3. Promote a safe working environment and contribute to HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
  4. Identify and enforce HSE competency requirements within the area

People

  1. Assist in developing, coaching, and mentoring trainees and new sales staff
