Activités
As a Key Account Specialist (Mining), you would possess the following:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in sales / business management or administration
- 4-6 years marketing and sales management experience in the oil industry or a comparable industry
- Exposure to analyzing and interpreting financial statements / results either in studies or work experience
- Interacting with employees, customers, and government / parastatal organizations
- Good sales management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; good analytical and presentation skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of business and legal basics
- Good knowledge and application of people management and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge and application of TMSA’s Code of Conduct / Ethics and Policies and Procedures
- Computer literacy is required (SAP and SALSA)
Profil du candidat
The Key Accounts Specialist is the point of contact for the customer and handles the distribution of the brand/products within assigned outlets. The sales representative is responsible for building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, ensuring visibility, achievement of sales targets, and delivery of high-quality customer service. They are also responsible for collection of receivables and providing market feedback. All employees must embody the values of Commitment, Integrity, Agility, Empathy, and Flexibility.
Main Responsibilities
- Achieve sales budgets for fuels and lubricants and contribute during budgeting
- Maintain and manage good customer relationships in the mining channel
- Manage pricing, rebates, discounts, and all related costs
- Ensure collection of under recoveries (transport, returns, maintenance costs, etc.)
- Control gross margin after variable expenses (GMVE) per customer
- Manage customer credit, resolve errors, perform reconciliation, and ensure excellent customer service
- Conduct variance analysis and business reviews, compare to budget, and take corrective actions
- Ensure proper stock management and accurate sales forecasting
- Monitor and control costs related to Fuel Management System suppliers and others
- Prepare monthly business reviews and KPIs, including asset management
- Manage contracts and administration to ensure compliance with contractual rights and obligations
Asset & Stock Management
- Manage operating expenditure and working capital through regular budget monitoring to improve profitability
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and TMSA requirements for handling, storing, and distributing products
Mining Strategy
- Identify and collaborate on leads for mining opportunities with the Business Development Manager
- Implement and execute marketing strategies and activities to meet objectives
- Collect and report market intelligence, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
- Propose opportunities for investments in the sales area
- Assist in controlling capital expenditure and commitments
- Participate in developing sales and marketing strategies
HSSE
- Manage and minimize HSE risks within the area of responsibility
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, rules, and legal requirements
- Promote a safe working environment and contribute to HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
- Identify and enforce HSE competency requirements within the area
People
- Assist in developing, coaching, and mentoring trainees and new sales staff
