DESCRIPTION

The Associate Vendor Specialist works within Amazon Vendor Services (AVS), a B2B service aimed at helping strategic vendor partners grow their business with Amazon. As an Associate Vendor Specialist, you will gain comprehensive exposure to all e-commerce areas affecting long-term and short-term growth metrics for key vendors. Your role involves acting as a consultant to drive success metrics daily and ensuring a customer-obsessed experience for vendors. You will collaborate with multiple internal teams, including merchandising, marketing, new product launch, category leads, pricing, finance, and supply chain, to enhance vendor success at Amazon. This role combines strategic, operational, and tactical responsibilities.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Core Service : Utilize deep data analytics to identify industry opportunities and recommend improvements to business performance through Amazon programs, supporting long-term benefits for both Amazon and vendors. Provide actionable insights to aid vendor decision-making and business growth.
  2. Relationship management : Act as the primary liaison between vendors and Amazon, ensuring interactions are trustworthy and fostering long-term partnerships.
  3. Availability & Operational Excellence : Drive supply chain operational initiatives by optimizing processes, managing defects and lead times, and maintaining stock levels for customer availability.
  4. Promotion & Funding : Recommend marketing and advertising strategies for vendors to promote new products, increase traffic, and enhance conversion rates. Manage promotional activities for Amazon events and collaborate with Amazon Advertising to explore additional marketing opportunities.
  5. Ranging : Support product range growth by launching new products, expanding local availability, and improving discoverability. Identify product gaps and oversee onboarding and growth initiatives.
  6. Store data quality management : Ensure a positive customer journey through regular store checks, competitor benchmarking, creating enhanced content, and maintaining accurate product descriptions.
  7. Problem solving : Develop and implement action plans to foster vendor growth and adapt services to meet business demands.
  8. Project management : Lead projects that add value to vendors and the Amazon community.
  9. Team player : Participate actively in team-led initiatives to improve the Amazon store and customer experience in South Africa.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
