Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting business growth? We are seeking a Key Account Manager to enhance our customer experience and help grow our market share. The incumbent will be responsible to source and grow new business in the construction and events sector as well as maintaining and growing existing business with existing customers in Cape Town & surrounding areas

What We’re Looking For:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma in sales or marketing
  • Experience in Project management is advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Track record in establishing and growing construction/events markets in the Cape Town area advantageous
  • Knowledge in the portable toilet and events industry is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Ability to interact at senior level with both customers and management
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building/management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a growth strategy that focuses on the events and construction market segments.
  • Source, negotiate and sign new business
  • Achieve annual targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with big corporate Companies in Events & Construction sector
  • Maintain relationships with Key accounts in both Construction & Events sector
  • Plan and schedule appointments with the identified customers
  • Provide feedback to Branch Manager on a weekly basis
  • Completion of quotation requests (RFQs) made by customers/ potential customers.
  • Ensure the cost associated with opening the new account are kept in line with the approved budget
  • Liaise with Branch Manager on pricing where necessary
  • Conduct sales presentations to senior management and Directors at potential customers
  • Complete contract documents and surveys in detail to streamline the implementation and installation of new contract
  • Deal with clients professionally at all times
  • Keep abreast with industry trends and implement them where possible

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
