Purpose of Role:

The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing and strengthening our supplier network. Suppliers are defined as multinational brands and Independent National Distributors. This role is responsible for fostering key supplier relationships, developing and executing the strategic direction for suppliers and ensuring revenue growth. With a focus on data-driven decision making and cross-functional collaboration, this role is crucial in achieving our growth objectives and ensuring continued supplier participation in our ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

•Manage contract negotiations and commercial discussions to ensure sustainable growth and profitability of key accounts.

•Build customer strategy and ensure seamless execution of strategy.

•Developing long-term strategies through the development; implementation and constant monitoring of effective strategic account plans to foster growth and uncover new business opportunities.

•Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers to drive value, which is essential for unlocking the Brand’s full potential.

•Ensuring relationships with customers is mutually beneficial and results in the delivery of excellent customer service while ensuring there is consistent delivery of high-quality offerings.

•Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess their needs, address concerns, and ensure products and services offered add value, result in revenue growth and lead to ecosystem retention.

•Collaborate with the broader Sales team (Field Sales, Partner teams) to maximize upselling and cross-selling opportunities, ensuring they result in revenue growth.

•Partner with cross functional teams such as marketing, operations, and tech to ensure product and service relevance while identifying new opportunities to meet the evolving market demand.

•Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to proactively identify new opportunities and potential threats.

•Identify and secure new business opportunities by targeting potential prospects across diverse sectors.

•Prospects pursued should drive growth, expand the company’s ecosystem, and increase market share for the business.

•Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting.

•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Other requirements:

This job requires working from the office and travelling to clients / suppliers in your own vehicle

Required to do ad-hoc national travelling

Valid Driver's licence and reliable transport essential

South African citizen

Clear criminal record
