Position Overview:

This position provides day-to-day Sales delivery to Agfa customers and the Agfa organization. The Key Account Manager acts as single point of contact to customers for Agfa products & services and is responsible for creating an account strategy, co-ordinating and controlling the sales process, managing customer expectations and negotiating contracts. In addition, the KAM will act as pre-sales consultant for the agents and dealers.

Location: Western & Northern Cape provinces

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a strategic account plan
  • Act as single point of contact to assigned customer base for Agfa products & services
  • Accompany prospective customers from first contact to closing of contract
  • Qualification of accounts
  • Manage customer relationships
  • Manage customer expectations during proposal & negotiation phase
  • Explain and demonstrate the sold products/solutions and think strategically with the customer
  • Create commercial proposals using the available tools for own accounts and local accounts (for agents, dealers)
  • Coordinate and control sales processes
  • Local product management
  • Acting as sales contact in hand-over from Sales to Services
  • Support the service manager during proposal & negotiation phase for SMA’s
  • Accountability for ongoing representation of sales, support, and service delivery programs
  • Accountability for profitable offer calculation and submission and contract management
  • Accountability for customer overdue accounts
  • Accountability to provide a complete and meaningful hand-over to Services
  • Support Agfa agents and dealers in their relationship with end-users

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, Sales and/or Business adminitration
  • Sales experience, preferably medical Imaging Sales/Presales
  • Radiographic background would be an adventage
  • Ability to establish and build strong customer relationships over time that allow for continuity
  • Business oriented
  • Professional communication skills (written & verbal) with excellent time management and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact professionally to develop new business sales opportunities and execute sales strategies
  • Experience and knowledge of hospital and medical clinic environments will be beneficial
