Job summary

A leading financial institution in Johannesburg is seeking an individual to manage and support the key accounts team. You will drive growth in asset and liability portfolios while ensuring compliance with governance and legislative requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service and relationship management, along with a proactive approach to achieving sales efficiencies. Job description

To manage and support the key accounts team

  • Drive an increase in the average balance of a specific portfolio of assets as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the business.
  • Drive an increase in the average balance of specific liabilities (e.g., Call reports, 32 Day Deposits, Fixed Deposits) as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the business.
  • Manage costs and expenses within the approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external parties to support the sales strategy.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, and provide proactive advice and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Manage existing clients and grow the portfolio by making contact and generating leads.
  • Provide sales support and services to ensure client retention.
  • Offer efficient administration through careful planning, reporting, and updating related information.
  • Comply with governance, legislative, and audit requirements.
  • Enter all qualified leads into the sales pipeline and maintain daily updates.
  • Track, control, and influence sales activities to increase sales efficiencies.
  • Develop materials and documentation, including standards, templates, guidelines, FAQs, and processes.
  • Understand technical trends, market dynamics, competition, and industry entrants; assess opportunities and threats.
  • Provide accurate business intelligence and analyze trends to improve decision-making.
  • Manage personal development to enhance competencies.
  • Plan and manage team performance, skills development, employment equity, talent, and culture to foster innovation and efficiency.
