About The Role

We are seeking a talented Key Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team.

The Key Account Manager will play a crucial role in driving business growth by providing technical expertise and support to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you will do :
  1. Gain a deep understanding of the customers' business, industry, goals, and challenges.
  2. Use this understanding to anticipate customer needs and provide solutions that align with their objectives.
  3. Define and implement sales strategies for accounts, plans, and forecasts to meet sales targets (sales & margin).
  4. Conduct competitive analysis to understand market trends, identify opportunities, and differentiate our products.
  5. Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities and achieving sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.
  6. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to maintain a deep understanding of our products and market positioning.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing technical support and resolving any issues that arise.
  8. Track key account metrics, sales performance, and market trends.
  9. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management summarizing account activities, sales results, and opportunities for growth.
What you will need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • A proven industrial sales experience of minimum 5 years within the industry
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to customers
  • Dynamic, mature, self-motivated, and capable of making a difference
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to address customer challenges
  • Experience working with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and support sales activities
  • Located in Cape Town or willing to relocate
