Key Account Manager Role

The KAM will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met while identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration.

The purpose of this position is to build strong, sincere relationships within our customer and distribution network, and to offer sound sales & technical assistance to distributors and end users within the region.

The Key Account Manager will lead and manage key account activities within the region to grow market share for Xylem and execute local strategies while navigating the market landscape.

Legal knowledge of foreign currencies, tariffs, and trading regulations is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead strategic business development initiatives to drive long-term growth and profitability in the region.
  • Ensure proper application of Group rules (Ethics & Compliance, Legal, SOA, DOA, ESH, etc.).
  • Lead and manage the distributor network.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by offering comprehensive solutions.
  • Recruit and open new distributors and service partners.
  • Develop relationships with contractors or end users (key accounts) for direct sales.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with influential key players.
  • Provide technical advice and support for complex applications.
  • Manage the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Develop and execute Commercial Action Plans.
  • Update and follow up on business opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Report on regional sales, forecasts, and market intelligence.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Sales; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of regional sales experience in a similar industry.
  • At least 3 years in middle management with technical and/or commercial experience in B2B and B2C sales.
  • Experience in the pump industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
