Job summary

A consulting firm in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an experienced account manager to develop and implement strategies, manage key relationships, and achieve sales targets. Candidates should have a minimum of 8-10 years in sales and marketing, possess strong presentation skills, and be motivated for sales. The role requires knowledge in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics industry, and ownership of a vehicle is non-negotiable.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of a manufacturing environment essential.
  • Must have Own Vehicle (Non-Negotiable).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement account strategies that deliver on the objectives.
  • Define, develop and manage relationships with key individuals in all accounts and ensure that the relationships with contacts are maintained at all levels
  • Actively identify and pursue potential business for the group
  • Through continuous participation in product updates, product, sales and business training and personal research ensure that skills and knowledge stays up to date.
  • Negotiate with clients.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships.
  • Ensure that sales and margin targets set for the account manager are achieved on both an individual and team basis.
  • Develop sales strategies to feed into budget planning.
  • Ensure that revenue targets are achieved.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must have a NQF Level 5 or Higher Certificate e.g. National Certificate Systems Support or Higher Certificate
  • Nice to have Sales or Marketing training and certifications.
  • Must have Own Vehicle (Non- Negotiable)
  • Must be willing to travel at any given notice
  • Knowledge of a manufacturing environment essential, industry experience in the plastic moulding / plastics space will be advantageous
  • Must have a minimum of 8-10 years working experience in a sales and marketing environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Motivation for Sales.
