Are you a driven sales professional with deep technical expertise in power solutions?

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected client in the Engineering sector for a Key Account Manager . This role is perfect for someone who excels in building lasting client relationships and driving sales growth within the power solutions market across Southern Africa.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with significant customers in the power sector
  • Develop and close customer leads for power solutions projects, focusing on power rental opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals by liaising directly with domestic and international clients
  • Grow the order book through effective sales of power solutions and auxiliary equipment
  • Visit various territories to identify and pursue power rental business opportunities
  • Gather market and competitive intelligence to support sustainable business growth
  • Participate in commercial and contractual reviews to ensure deliverables are met
  • Provide management with accurate reporting on sales activities and opportunities
  • Demonstrate effective self-management, prioritising performance and safety

Candidate Requirements :

  • Matric and a tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years technical sales or engineering experience in a power environment
  • At least five years experience working on Reciprocating Engines Power Solutions projects of 5MW and above
  • In-depth product knowledge of Reciprocating Engine Generator products, Microgrids, and auxiliary equipment
  • Strong understanding of Southern African market conditions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset
  • Commitment to safety, quality, customer experience, and familiarity with industry regulations
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with strong collaboration abilities
