A leading airline is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to manage spare parts and assist with inventory tasks. Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly cycle counts in warehouses.
• Ensure precise record-keeping of documentation.
• Update stock ERP (SAM) with movements.
• Direct parts to required locations.
• Create documentation for shipping and packaging.
• Update Flow Centric upon receipt or dispatch of parts.
• Deliver spares to all hangars.
• Daily housekeeping tasks.
• Draw and issue spares from the main warehouse.
• Attend to all requests for spares.
• General warehouse duties as requested by supervisor.
• Control access to the warehouse.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks from management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly cycle counts in any of the warehouses as and when needed;
• Ensure precise record-keeping and filing of all pertinent documentation related to the movement of spare parts;
• Update the stock ERP(SAM) to reflect relevant movements;
• Direct parts to outstations, hangars, and airports where they are required;
• Create documentation for shipping purposes as well as packaging as per Work Instructions;
• (COMAT) Update Flow Centric in accordance with SAM as soon as parts are received or dispatched;
• Deliver spares at all hangars;
• Housekeeping to be done daily;
• Draw and issue spares from main warehouse;
• Attend to all requests for spares sent through via email, phone calls or WhatsApp;
• Carry out general warehouse duties as requested by supervisor;
• Ensure access to warehouse is controlled at all times;
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Forklift license (Advantageous);
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Warehousing;
• Must have a valid driver's license (EB) (Essential);
• Must be willing to work shifts;
• Willing to travel;
• Valid passport;
• Own transport.
